Toll gates and Lift Clubs

If you drive on the N1 you'll notice that.. already if you are coming from Pretoria and off-ramping towards the south there are huge signs painted: T (for toll gate). Yep!! in a couple of months one would have to add in at least R 1 400 or so more to your monthly spend for the road. My suggestions, 1. Get a lift club 2. Be one of those to use the Gautrain when the Pta-Sandton route launches next year 3. Use the Business Class express (train) from PTa- Joburg.

Briefly this is how the Electronic Toll Gates might look like, it spans across the highway, no need to stop and pay. Payment is done by way of your bank account being debited directly at a specified period according to how many tollpoints you have gone through. (hint, hint, new number plates in Gauteng will become compulsory to cater for this system)

Talk about a lift club..?
