Petrol price to increase by 14c
The retail prices of petrol will increase by 14c a litre for all grades on May 5, the Department of Energy has announced.

This follows a 48c per litre increase last month.
Diesel prices will also increase, with 0.05% sulphur and 0.005% sulphur both going up by 29.5c per litre.
Wholesale paraffin will increase by 30 cents, and illuminating paraffin will go up by 41c per litre.
Petrol in Gauteng will cost 872 cents a litre from 858c before, and 848c at the coast from 835c before.
During the period under review, the average international product prices of Petrol, Diesel and Illuminating Paraffin increased.
The average Rand/US Dollar exchange rate strengthened when compared to the previous period. The average Rand/US Dollar exchange rate for the period 31 March 2010 to 29 April 2010 was 7.3749 compared to 7.4753 during the previous period.
